Joomla! 1.5 admin menu module with K2 content
This is the Joomla backend admin menu module with support for K2 Content/Articles
To enable the Admin menu with K2 support please do the following:
1. Go to Tools – Module manager – Administrator
2. Publish the newly installed Admin Menu K2 module
3. Click on the module to open it and change it’s position to menu
4. Unpublish the default Admin menu and enjoy
The module, for some reaseon does not parse the description language variable after installation, but works fine once installed. Will be fixed hopefully.

AdminPad, the Joomla iPad Administrator Template (which is 25% off this week), has just received a nice update. AdminPraise has added 12 new color themes, leap-frogging from 5 to 17 total! AdminPraise also added some conditionals so the Sidebar Menu displays better in desktop browsers for those of you who aren't just using AdminPad on the iPad, as well as a few other easter eggs.

Whenever I introduce someone to Joomla the first reaction is oooh, that looks a bit complex and in all fairness to them it is. It is daunting and your average non-techie isn’t going to pickup the basics easily. Now i’m sure other web developers have heard the phrase “Can’t you just turn it off” from project managers without any real knowledge of what is involved or the implications of doing such a thing. So I have created a customisable module which lets you hide non-essential parts of the Joomla backend.
I’m not saying this is a solution, but it works, it actually removes the HTML elements from the DOM if you choose remove, otherwise it just hides them (so expect things to break if you remove the wrong things). This is definately an advanced tool and shouldn’t be used if you’re unsure about what you’re doing. Above is a screenshot of the Joomla admin panel simplifier.
As always leave a comment on the website if you have positive or negative feedback, this will be the only release of this module I can foresee unless a major bug is noticed due to it not being a “best practice” module and is quite hacky without actually hacking core!
